Seminar: The New European Directive on Concessions. Challenges for Transposition and Use. Maastricht, 18-19 November 2014

The award of concession contracts in the EU is about to change with the enactment of Directive 2014/23, which will regulate the award of concession contracts. These are an important form of PPP and vital to the modernisation of European transport and energy infrastructure.

The seminar will explain the new rules and what they mean for Contracting Authorities and Contracting Entities awarding concession contracts, as well as assessing options for how they can be implemented by EU Member States. The seminar will deal with legal, economic, financial and operational considerations, and will draw together experiences of different countries and stakeholders in the European arena.
